Is everyone relaxing over the long weekend?
I doubt it.
The days are drawing in and it is getting chilly
so wrap up warm and keep fine.
See some of you on Wednesday!

Good evening.
(Maybe is not evening if or when you read this.)
It was a bit chilly on the way home this evening.
Winter is just around the corner.
It seems everyone will be busy next Wednesday so there will be no class.
Take good care of your health.
Today one little boy student proudly told me he had swine flu last week.
It is predominant in this area.

Monday, 9 November 2009

We've been having some warm and sunny days recently
"An Indian Summer?"
In the news:
Any comments about raising the price of cigarettes?
Did you buy anything in a Giants Victory Sale?
Has the swine flu affected you personally?

Recently I want to eat chocolate and cookies.....
It is because the days a re getting cooler.
Do you have the same urge at this time of year?
It's a problem for me.

Any suggestions for a topic on Wednesday?

My neighbour

My friendly neighbour, Mr. Ninomiya, has been helping out
by taking the dogs out.

Did you know that the average height for a man was about 157cm in his day?
He was about 180cm!
He must have been on the local volleyball team!
They have just built a convenience store next to his house.
He wouldn't have been pleased with that in his day, but I think
he would have been pleased if a tea room had opened just down the road, selling
scones.

Today* The Int. Lounge was a bit stifling.
We maybe all had red faces.
Tamami, Kumiko and Kie turned up to speak English.
There were some other groups in the room today.
I think ours was the only internationally flavoured one.
Does anyone know any good places to see lovely autumn trees?

Is everyone well?
It is a national holiday tomorrow.
Is anyone going to do something ambitious?
It seems the weather might be agreeable so make the best of it!
